I have often used Jap Maple limbs as a vase filler. Love it.

Oh you are quite right about how well the foliage matches the calligraphy and their frames - what a great combination!

The maple leaves, your vase, and the setting are perfect together. Your style is incredible and peaceful.

Simply perfect.

A fine pairing of art to plants, Linda. How fortunate to have an artist in residence!

I think you're right, Linda - much as I adore (and envy) peonies, that Japanese maple stem is just perfect alone as an embellishment to its wonderful surroundings. Your use of the maple stem has me asking myself why I've never cut a stem of one of my own maples (I have just 2, both smallish) to put in a vase.

Cathy Thompson

A perfect use of the maple stems. I would feel in the lap of luxury if they were in my own home!
