A number of years ago I admired this rather romantic vase at my mother-in-law's house. Not long afterward she gave it to me as a gift. It calls for delicate flowers that repeat its decorative design: pinks, purples and whites.
This pink "vase" is a repurposed party favor that seemed like the perfect container to hold a birthday bouquet that I quickly put together just before walking out the door.

Your MIL's vase is sweet. It looks so delicate. Your flower composition is perfect. Happy Monday.

Birthday...? You have indeed picked out the colours from the first vase with your contents, and the pink of the bucket works well with the sedum and anemones too - and is that a pink pelargonium? So, not subdued at all, just gentle and not in-your-face. Thanks for sharing them

What a pretty arrangement in a wow! of a vase and the little pink pail makes a fabulous container too. I like the foliage you have used in your arrangements.

I love the Japanese anemones, Linda - here, mine usually fry in the heat prior to blooming, although last year I got a few flowers on the white variety. What's the reddish fern-like plant in the 1st vase?

I love the ferny foliage in your first vase, what is it?

Such a lovely arrangement in that beautifully ornate first vase. It looks so French, like lace.
Judith — That vase is very lacy! The white swirls are raised and it almost gives the effect of fabric.
