Oooh. This sounds like something I'd like to read! I'll have to add it to my ever-growing list.

LINDA from EACH LITTLE WORLD

My husband read this after I finished it, and he enjoyed it as well. It's rare that we read the same books. But he skipped some of the landscape and description, which was one of things I particularly liked about the book!

Maxine, at Eurocrime, liked this also: http://www.eurocrime.co.uk/reviews/Echoes_from_the_Dead.html

I will add it to my list. I am really getting into these dark Scandinavian books.

LINDA from EACH LITTLE WORLD

I think Maxine's review is on the money — especially about the Gerlof character. It is a great book and I'm sure some of the credit (for us) must go to the translator. What I also liked, is that since this is not a whodunnit that's introducing a detective, I can look forward to more books by the author without the thought of them always having the same lead character.
