What a beautiful story! Inspiring.

LINDA from EACH LITTLE WORLD

Thanks for those kind words. I am hoping to post on Wednesdays about designing a garden with my husband.

Les

I enjoyed this post, and am always interested how other people came to making gardening such a part of their lives. Thanks!

LINDA from EACH LITTLE WORLD

Les — thanks for stopping by! I will think of you in the Tidewater today when it's snowing and 20 degrees here. Just deciding how long I can wait before I have to get out there and shovel.

Liked your tree obit. Our neighbors have the state champ dawn redwood in their yard and we are very attached to it.

It's interesting to see how you and your husband make gardening together work so well (not to mention blogging, since I see you do the writing and he does the photos). My husband has no interest in creating a garden, although I do convince him to help me with a hardscaping install from time to time. For years I've counted myself lucky to be able to do whatever I want in the garden without answering to anyone. But I see that you have found another way that works, and it's fascinating to me. I'd like to hear more about compromises along the way and how you resolved them.
