Only a few things are flowering in my April garden, but there is always noteworthy foliage on display.
The pleated leaves on this Allium victorialis always make me think of Veratrum. You can't see it very well in this photo but the bottom of each stem is a deep cranberry color.
Bloody dock aka Rumex sanguineus can be identified by its patterned leaves no matter how small the plant is
Geranium wlassovianum. Who needs flowers with leaves like these?
Arum italicum 'Ghost'
Trillium sessile with Primula sieboldii
This Trillium seeds all over my garden for me as you can see in the center of the grouping. The red flowers look particularly good with the red candelabra Primroses surrounding this clump.
